Is it just me or do you have a serious grudge against Muslims? Because unless you haven't noticed most of us are peaceful although we abide by the same religion (Islam). Your so-called 'saint' America takes corruption based bribes from Israel...a holy city which stands on stolen land (stolen and kept through blood spill and corruption). The American general insulted Islam and he was protected by 'free speech' what about the moritian prime minister? America demanded he apologize to the Jews even though his comment was light and not as insulting as the US Generals. I think before you say something you should actually think about what you say and get your facts straight! Funny how you don't have Milosevic on your list of terrorists and a number of other people... I'm just voicing my opinion.

My Response:

First of all, I want to thank you for writing. Obviously, we have a disagreement, but that’s okay.

I think the best way to answer your email is on two levels:

  • 1. I don’t hate Muslims, although from a spiritual perspective I believe they are lost. Islam is a religion where man reaches upwards to God, whereas Christianity is about God coming down to man. My fervent wish is for everyone (Jew, Muslim, Hindi, Buddhist, whatever) to come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ—to be born again. That’s only way any of us is going to get to heaven. That said, General Boykin spoke as a Christian in an evangelical setting about Islam. Did you expect to say that Islam is something he does not believe? It is curious in the current politically correct climate that it has become open season on Christians, but nothing critical can be said regarding any other belief.
  • 2. I write about national security issues and novels about the threats to America. The United States was attacked by radical Islamic Fascists, whose justification was partially based on Osama bin Laden’s fatwa. Whether it is Sunni, Shi’ite or Wahhabi—where is the condemnation in the Muslim world for attacking a civilian target or murdering civilian non-combatants? What is the justification for Palestinian and Hamas homicide bombers? [Hatred of Israel and western civilization is not an adequate answer.]
  • You brought up a few other things.

I haven’t added Slobodan Milosevic to my Rogue’s Gallery, because I haven’t written about him. Is the world a better place because he is no longer in power? Yes. Did he kill people because of their ethnic background? Yes. My Rogue’s Gallery pages support the bad guys I’ve written about in my novels.

Jerusalem has been around for more than 3000 years. I’m not sure who occupied Jerusalem prior to the Canaanites, but Jehovah God gave Canaan to his people when Joshua led them across the Jordan River. If we want to get technical, the Dome of the Rock sits atop Solomon’s Temple which was built 1600 years before Mohammed was born.

I never called America a country without sin. I am painfully aware of the cultural decadence, abortion and disrespect for the holy in American society. However, I will state categorically that America has been used to confront the greatest dangerous the world has faced in the last 100 years.

Finally, I fail to understand what you mean by Israel’s corporate bribes to America. The last I checked, Israel receives something in the neighborhood of $4 billion in foreign aide per year.

    Best Regards,

I went to the web sites listed on your card and found we are quite possibly very like minded individuals. I will probably purchase your books, they sound as though they are directly up my alley..... . I spent 9 years in the Submarine Navy and have concerns over national security (Lack there of), lost / missing Soviet Weapons and technology. I am definitely on the right side of the isle, especially when it comes to guns, over taxation and national defense and crooked politicians regardless of party affiliation. I was in the Navy when Jimmy Carter / Walter Mondale gave away the Panama Canal among other things, it always stuck in my craw and I believe that is what pushed me to the right. I belong to the NRA as well as a local gun club and am quite heavy into Long-range Black Powder Cartridge shooting, dabble in Cowboy Action shooting and just shooting in general.
