I am not a big fan of the United States Senate. The only group I have met that has more prima donnas is a high school football team on game day. The windbags inside the beltway sometimes to refer to the senate as the world’s most deliberative body; I find it to be the world’s most dysfunctional body.

Senator Dick Durbin (Democrat Illinois is anyone surprised) got his mouth running when he compared conditions at Gitmo to the worst abuses in the Soviet Gulag and Nazi concentration camps.

Maybe I missed something? The last time I checked there were not 113 kosher meals being served to Jews at Auschwitz, but we make sure that Gitmo’s orange clad prisoners receive a Koran, prayer rug and specially blessed meals. It seems they eat better than the troops chasing bad guys in Iraq.

And where are all those ovens and gas chambers at Gitmo? Did we neglect to develop a final solution for al Qaeda?

However when Senator Dick had a chance to back down, he dug in and kept spouting his moronic musings.

Senator Ted Kennedy (Democrat Massachusetts cars, booze & bridges) decided to probe the lingerie torture, after hearing reports that detainees were forced to wear woman’s underwear. My heart goes pitter patter, thinking of the outrage.

These blowhards’ words end up on Aljazeera, running down our troops and promoting the people who want to kill us.

In my book that is lending aid and comfort to the enemy.

No wonder the Democrats can not win the White House or any other house these days.
