The Riskiest Scheme
Every presidential administration garners blame or praise for what happens during their watch whether
or not they were responsible. As we move towards another election the major question before the voters is: Do
we want four more years?
Bill Clinton inherited the Reagan economic boom and benefited from the fiscal discipline imposed by a
republican congress. Despite his best efforts to nationalize one seventh of the economy through health care
reform, raise taxes half a trillion dollars and prohibit the development of domestic energy sources, the American
economy continues move ahead fueled by the baby boomer demographic and an ever expanding economic
pie. Reaganomics worked! We have grown our way out of a deficit.
Along comes that Internet inventin’, cancer curin’ vice president—Albert Gore Junior. He used to be
pro-life, now he supports partial birth abortions. He used to be a proud tobacco farmer, now he cannot imagine
anything more evil than the cancer stick producers. He used to wear blue suits, now he has climbed aboard the
earth tone express.
This is the man who stood on the White House lawn during the impeachment party told us all how proud
he was to be Bill Clinton’s vice president. This is the man who recognized no controlling legal authority when
question about Buddhist monks, vows of poverty and five thousand dollar contributions. This is the man who
would be king, but does not know if he is an alpha or beta male.
Bill Clinton claimed that Al Gore is the finest vice president ever to hold the office. Bill Clinton has
claimed a great many things during his tenure—many of those sayings strayed from the truth. Vice presidents in
our form of government are only measured in times of national mourning or disgrace.
Does Al Gore conjure images of Harry Truman of Teddy Roosevelt? How about Calvin Coolidge or
Lyndon Johnson? Does he even rise to the level of Andrew Johnson? The problem is that Al Gore has covered
the political spectrum with positions on just about every topic. Al Gore appears to believe whatever the moment
demands to secure your vote. Do we really need another four years of this?
Bill Clinton’s core values appear to be keeping one step ahead of the law and ensuring someone else
pays the price for his mischief.
Al Gore does not even appear to have any core values. Instead a core vacuum threatens to implode a
campaign that has no other vision than Al Gore should be President based on the reasoning that he was vice
president for eight long years.
An Al Gore presidency suggests a dismal future where the Federal Government commandeers more
land, where more money is confiscated from your paycheck, and where more damage is dealt our national
security. Liberty is a precious gift purchased with the courage of convictions and watered with the blood of
patriots. Consider carefully the future you choose come November.
